THE GIFT

Having to see your kid for the first time was overwhelming. I can’t even explain the happiness she had given me the first time I heard her cry.

Early as expected, Anshane Lea Marie came into my life January 23, 2012. A gift from above that made me so happy. After all the pain and sacrifices of laboring that I’ve been through, finally here she is, near me. Crying. Asking for security. In that moment, all the pain was gone and was replaced with hopes and dreams for her.

I never thought that being a mother would make me a much better person. I realized how strong I am. Despite everything that I’ve been through, here I am standing back again from the fall. I know I can do this. Not only for myself but also for my daughter.

Thank You Lord for the gift.
